Welcoming participants and introducing the workshop goals
Exploring diversity and accessibility in conference programs through insights and experiences
14:15-15:15 (60 min)
We will present the obtained insights from past years and invite participants to share their experiences from AutomotiveUI and other related international conferences to obtain a better understanding about the issues concerning lack of diversity and accessibility in conferences’ main programs.
Coffee break
15:15-15:30 (15 min)
Brainstorming session to come up with ideas
15:30-16:30 (60 min)
A brainstorming session to come up with ideas for potential solutions on how to overcome the identified issues and suggest strategies on how to improve the diversity and accessibility of international conferences
Preparing a summary of tips and instructions they would like to see in practice in the future
16:30-17:00 (30 min)
After the brainstorming session, each group will be asked to prepare a summary of tips and instructions they would like to see in practice in the future.
Presenting findings
17:00-17:30 (30 min)
After the brainstorming session, each group will be invited to present their findings at the workshop.
Closing session
17:30-18:00 (30 min)
The workshop will be finished with a closing session in which we will focus on the identification of steps and initiatives, which should be/will be undertaken, to promote the implementation of the findings from this workshop into the organization process of future AutomotiveUI editions and international conferences in general.
